UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 4500 Pickfair Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man that occurred in the 4500 block of Pickfair Street about 9 a.m. on August 12.
The suspect, James Brown, 50, is charged with murder in the 183rd State District Court. A booking photo of Brown is attached to the news release.
The victim is identified as Joshua Hampton, 36.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Dudley and K. Heaverlo reported:
Officers responded to a report of a male lying in the roadway at the above address.  Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.  He had suffered multiple stab wounds.
Residents in the area did not report hearing or seeing any disturbance prior to the finding the injured male.  During the course of the investigation, a person of interest came forward, was questioned and released.
Further investigation identified James Brown as the suspect. On Wednesday (August 27), Brown was arrested without incident by the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force. He was booked into the Harris County Jail and charged for his role in Mr. Hampton’s death.
