Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 5102 Carmen Street
Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male and the wounding of another at 5102 Carmen Street about 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday (Sept. 30).
The identity of the deceased male, 36, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Gardner and Detective M. Providence reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found two males suffering multiple gunshot wounds. The first male was found lying in the kitchen and responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene. A second male, 38, was found lying near the living room and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
Further investigation determined both men were at the residence when the suspect arrived at the house and had a physical altercation with the deceased victim. During the altercation the suspect pulled a gun and shot the males several times before fleeing in an unknown direction.
