Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of two males at 5700 South Gessner Road about 4:20 a.m. on April 11.
The suspect, Osmany Alexander Padilla Castro, 17, is charged with capital murder in the 337th Criminal District Court. A booking photo of Padilla Castro is attached to this news release.
The victims are identified as Roldan Andrade Benites, 17, and Santiago Moreno, 16.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective J. Wallschlaeger reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found two males suffering from gunshot wounds. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced one male, 17, deceased at the scene. A second male, 16, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
On April 15 the second male, 16, was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation identified Padilla Castro as a suspect in this case. On Thursday, May 14, Padilla Castro was arrested by the Houston Police Department South Gessner Division Crime Suppression Team. He was charged for his role in the fatal shooting and booked into the Harris County Jail.
