Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 11927 Bat Sheva Lane

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a woman at 11927 Bat Sheva Lane about 9:55 a.m. on Saturday (July 11).
The suspect, Kayla Wynita Rodgers, 28, is charged with manslaughter in the 338th Criminal District Court. A booking photo of Rodgers is attached to the news release.
The identity of the victim, 28, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. LaFour and Detective E. Camacho reported:
HPD officers responded to a stabbing call at the above address. Upon arrival officers located a citizen providing first aid to a female suffering from stab wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the female to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
Officers learned the suspect, Kayla Rodgers, was on scene and detained her without incident. The Harris County District Attorney’s office was consulted and Rodgers was subsequently arrested and charged for her role in this incident.
