Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8001 Mesa Drive

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male and wounding of female that occurred at 8001 Mesa Drive about 5:25 p.m. on Saturday (Aug. 8).
The identity of the deceased male, 24, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives V. Villarreal and R. Reyes reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and located a male in the parking lot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene. Officers also located a female suffering from gunshot wounds. The female was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
