Investigation into Fatal Crash at 14300 Northwest Freeway

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 14300 Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) about 9:40 p.m. on Wednesday (August 12).
The identity of the deceased male, 35, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Barrow and Officer C. Brothers reported:
The driver of a black Cadillac SRX was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a black Mazda SUV. The Cadillac then struck the curb, the guardrail and rolled over multiple times. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.
The driver and two passengers in the Mazda suffered minor injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
