Investigation into Fatal Crash at 500 East Crosstimbers Street

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 500 East Crosstimbers Street about 1:15 a.m. today (March 10).
The identity of the deceased male, 33, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant Y. Ramirez and Officer N. Solomon reported:
The driver of a black Chevrolet Silverado was traveling eastbound on Crosstimbers at the above address when he failed to maintain a single lane, veered off the roadway, over the curb and struck a tree on the driver’s side. The impact caused the vehicle to rebound off the tree, crash through a metal fence and then continue southward until it came to a stop in an empty field.
Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene. No other persons or vehicles were involved in this crash.
The investigation is continuing.
