Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of five people at 3333 Raleigh Street about 2:35 a.m. on March 2, 2025.
The suspect, Kendrick Montgomery, 21, is charged with aggravated assault – mass shooting in the 232nd State District Court.  A booking photo of Montgomery is attached to this news release.
He is accused in the shooting of three men – ages 58, 36, and 31 – and two women, 43 and 32.  Two of the victims (aged 36 and 43) remain hospitalized in stable condition.  The three others were released from hospitals.
HPD Major Assaults Division Sergeant J. Cimeni reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at a bar at the above address and located five adult gunshot victims.  Paramedics transported the victims to area hospitals.
Detectives interviewed multiple witnesses and were advised that an unknown male, who was driving a white sedan, pulled up in front of the bar’s entrance.  The male got out of the vehicle with a rifle and fired multiple shots at staff members and customers near the front door.  The suspect returned to his vehicle and drove off at a high rate of speed westbound on Raleigh Street.
Further investigation identified the suspect as Montgomery and he was subsequently charged.  Last Friday (March 7), Montgomery was arrested by officers with the HPD SWAT, South Central and Southeast Patrol Crime Suppression Teams, with assistance from agents with the FBI Houston Office.  He was then booked into the Harris County Jail.
