Suspect Arrested, Charged with Fatal Stabbing at 2401 Westridge Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man at 2401 Westridge Street about 11:50 a.m. on Tuesday (April 14).
The suspect, Lisa Venglar, 30, is charged with murder in the 495th Criminal District Court. A booking photo of Venglar is attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim, 35, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives E. May and C. Sharp reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing call in an apartment complex parking lot at the above address and found a male suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Officers located the suspect’s vehicle and the suspect was taken into custody. After further investigation, the suspect was charged and booked into the Harris County Jail.
