Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2400 University Boulevard 

Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred at 2400 University Boulevard about 3:50 p.m. on Friday (Oct 9).
The victim is identified as Tran Lam, 20.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Le and Officer X. Zhang reported:
A silver Toyota Tacoma was making a left turn near the above address when the driver failed to yield the right of way and struck a female pedestrian in the crosswalk. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the female to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Toyota, 40, remained at the scene, showed no signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.
The investigation is ongoing.
