Investigation into Deceased Male at 8660 Howard Drive

Investigation into the death of a male found at 8660 Howard Drive about 9:40 p.m. on Wednesday (August 19) is pending autopsy results by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The identity of the deceased male, 72, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detective M. Perez reported:
An officer was patrolling the area when she spotted a fire at the above address. When the officer pulled into the property where the fire was located she was met by a male who stated he heard an explosion and saw flames coming from inside an RV. The male believed the RV might be occupied.
Responding Houston Fire Department firefighters put out the fire. Once the fire was extinguished they found the victim’s body.
The investigation into the male’s death is pending cause of death to be determined by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
