Investigation into Fatal Crash at 10550 South Freeway

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash in the 10550 block of South Freeway (South State Highway 288) about 4:20 p.m. on April 18.
The deceased male is identified as Trevor Gregory, 20.
HPD Vehicular Crime Division Sergeant V. Vo and Officer R. Ramos reported:
A black Cadillac CT4 was southbound at the above address when the driver lost control in the heavy rain, crashed and landed on driver side in a ditch on the side of the freeway. The vehicle became submerged underwater. Houston Fire Department personnel and bystanders pulled the male driver and female passenger out of the vehicle. Both were transported to the hospital. Doctors pronounced the male deceased. The female, 19, was admitted in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
