Investigation into Fatal Crash at 8800 Memorial Drive 

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 8800 Memorial Drive about 12:40 a.m. today (June 15).
The identity of the deceased male, 55, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Yasin and Officer R. McLemore reported:
A silver Hyundai Elantra was traveling westbound at the above address when the vehicle veered into the median and struck a tree. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the passenger deceased at the scene.
The driver, 36, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The investigation is continuing.
