Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Crash at 7000 Hollister Street

Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal crash that occurred at 7000 Hollister Street about 4 a.m. on Sunday (June 28).
The suspect, Pablo Maravilla, 50, is charged with intoxication manslaughter in the 180th Criminal District Court. A booking photo of Maravilla, who remains hospitalized, is not available at this time.
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer J. Tran reported:
The driver of a gray Toyota Tundra was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound at the above address. The driver struck a raised concrete sidewalk, lost control and struck a metal fence. The passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male driver, Maravilla, to an area hospital in critical condition.
There were no other vehicles involved in this crash.
