Investigation into Fatal Crash at 7800 Westheimer Road

Houston police are investigating the fatal hit-and-run crash in the 7800 block of Westheimer Road about 10:55 p.m. on July 16.
The identity of the deceased female, 88, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant V. Vo, Officer C. Ballard and Midwest Patrol Division Officers reported:
A female pedestrian was crossing the roadway when she was struck by two vehicles traveling westbound. The first striking vehicle, a gray Hyundai Sonata, remained at the scene. The second vehicle left the scene. The vehicle of unknown make and model is believed to be black in color.
The female was transported to an area hospital where doctors pronounced her deceased on July 18.
