Investigation into Deceased Female at 6103 North Freeway

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a female found at 6103 North Freeway (Interstate Highway 45 North) about 11 a.m. on Saturday (August 15).
The identity and cause of death of the deceased female, 47, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Nielsen reported:
Officers responded to a report of a deceased female inside a motel room at the above address. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the female deceased at the scene.
The victim was initially reported by a male who stated she was a friend and when he woke up at approximately 7 a.m. he found her unresponsive. He asked motel employees to call 9-1-1 at approximately 10 a.m. He stated he had last seen her alive at approximately 9 p.m. the previous night.
The investigation into the females death is pending cause of death, to be determined by autopsy.
