Investigation into Fatal Crash at 10400 Gulf Freeway

Houston police have learned a man injured in a crash in the 10400 block of Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) service road about 4:10 p.m. on August 19 has died.
The identity of the deceased male, 59, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Clear Lake Patrol Division officers reported:
A bus was traveling northbound at the above address and attempted to make a left turn on Edgebrook Drive. The bus struck a pedestrian who was walking north to south, not in a crosswalk, under the freeway. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital. Doctors pronounced him deceased on August 24.
The investigation is ongoing.
