UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 6915 Boyce Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 6915 Boyce Street about 5:20 a.m. on July 16.
The suspect, Matthew Carrizal, 32, is charged with murder in the 185th Criminal District Court. A booking photo of Carrizal is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Robert Gonzales, 64.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Wallschlaeger and M. Althaus reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and located a male outside of his vehicle in the driveway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man deceased.
Neighbors reported hearing a disturbance earlier in the morning in the driveway of the residence before hearing multiple gunshots.
Further investigation identified Carrizal as the suspect in this incident and he was subsequently charged. On July 24th, Carrizal was arrested and booked into the Harris County jail.
